Terms of Service

Clementine is a Discord bot for running a server: moderation, roles, leveling, tickets, music, and more. Adding it, using its commands, or using the dashboard means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

Who can use it

You must meet Discord's own minimum age, which is 13 or higher depending on where you live, and you must be following the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These terms sit on top of Discord's, not instead of them.

What server staff take on

Clementine is a powerful tool and the person who adds it decides how it is used. If you add it or configure it, you are responsible for:

• Telling your members what is on. If you enable message logging or ticket transcripts, their messages are being recorded. Say so, in a channel they will see, and follow whatever your local law requires about notice and consent.
• The permissions you grant. Clementine requests what its modules need. Granting more than that, or placing its role above roles it has no business touching, is your call and your risk.
• What your staff do with it. Moderation tools can be misused. Using logs, tickets, or automod to harass, surveil, or retaliate against members is a breach of these terms.
• Anything you connect through AI Linking. See below.

AI Linking

Clementine can be linked to an external AI agent that acts on your server's behalf. It is off by default and only your staff can turn it on.

If you enable it, you are responsible for the agent you connect and for everything it does with your server, exactly as if a staff member had done it themselves. Keep the bridge key secret. Anything done with a leaked key is done under your authority, and we cannot tell the difference.

Acceptable use

You may not use Clementine to:

• Break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Harass, stalk, dox, or surveil anyone.
• Distribute malware, run scams, or send spam.
• Infringe copyright, including by using the music or streaming features to redistribute material you have no right to.
• Abuse the text to speech features to generate slurs, harassment, or impersonation.
• Attack, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its database, or its dashboard.
• Resell or rebrand Clementine as your own product.

We may suspend or remove Clementine from any server that does these things, without notice where the breach is serious.

Music and streaming

The music and video features play content from sources you point them at. You are responsible for having the right to play what you play. We do not host that content, and we will act on credible reports of infringement.

Paid plans

Some features need a paid plan. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time through the billing portal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
• Prices can change. We will give notice before a change affects an existing subscription.
• Refunds are at our discretion, other than where the law gives you a right to one. If the service was materially broken for a stretch you paid for, tell us and we will make it right.
• Complimentary access granted to a server can be withdrawn at any time.
• If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, premium features stop. Your data and configuration are not deleted.

Availability

Clementine is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of bugs, and we may change how features work, add or remove them, or discontinue the service. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Good Times Global Labs, LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Clementine, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Clementine is a tool, not a moderator. It does not guarantee that rule breaking will be caught, and it is not a substitute for human staff. Decisions your server makes with it are your server's decisions.

Your data

Covered in the Privacy Policy, which is specific about which message content is examined and discarded and which is written down. Read it before enabling message logging or ticket transcripts.

Ending your use

Remove Clementine from your server at any time, and ask us to delete the server's data. We may suspend or end access for anyone breaking these terms or Discord's.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the support server and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use Clementine after that means you accept the new terms.
